Description :

 

The third night of Fare Thee Well – July 5th at Soldier Field in Chicago – was the end of the road : the last blast of birthday marking the Grateful Dead′s 50th year as a rock n roll performing ideal and American counter-cultural institution. The show also completed the weekend′s memorial to founding spirit-guide Jerry Garcia – a long-overdue act of closure for the surviving members and Deadhead Nation, 20 years after the guitarist′s passing, in the same venue where he last played with his band.
